One Piece: Into the Grand Line — Season 2 Is Now Streaming on Netflix

Netflix's One Piece live-action Season 2 dropped all 8 episodes on March 10, 2026, with 33 new cast members including Joe Manganiello as Crocodile. Season 3 is already filming.

The Straw Hats Enter the Grand Line

One Piece: Into the Grand Line, the second season of Netflix's live-action adaptation, premiered on March 10, 2026, dropping all eight episodes at once. Each episode runs between 54 and 66 minutes, making this a substantial continuation of the story.

What Season 2 Covers

As confirmed by creator Eiichiro Oda in his August 2024 letter to fans, the season adapts five manga arcs: Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. This means Season 2 chronicles the Straw Hats' entry into the Grand Line and introduces several beloved characters.

Returning Straw Hat Cast

The five core crew members return: Inaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji.

33 New Cast Members

The season introduces a massive roster of new characters:

  • Mikaela Hoover voices and performs facial capture for Tony Tony Chopper, the reindeer doctor making his live-action debut through a blend of practical effects and CGI
  • Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton Season 2) plays Princess Vivi / Miss Wednesday
  • Lera Abova portrays Nico Robin / Miss All-Sunday
  • Joe Manganiello takes on Crocodile / Mr. 0
  • David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9
  • Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha and Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk
  • Michael Dorman as Gol D. Roger

Production Details

Filming ran from June 24, 2024 through February 4, 2025, primarily in Cape Town, South Africa. Creator Eiichiro Oda visited the set in person, meeting with both returning and new cast members. Co-showrunner Matt Owens stepped down in March 2025 for health reasons, with Joe Tracz continuing solo through post-production.

In a first for Netflix anime adaptations, the first two episodes were screened in 200+ theaters across three countries on March 10, 2026.

Season 3 Already in Production

Netflix greenlit Season 3 in August 2025 — before Season 2 even aired. Filming began in November 2025 and will complete the Alabasta saga, covering one of the most beloved arcs in One Piece history. The early renewal signals Netflix's enormous confidence in the franchise.

The Anime Continues Too

The One Piece anime itself continues its legendary run, having surpassed 1,100 episodes. The Egghead Island arc is currently airing with improved pacing and production quality under the Toei Animation team, keeping both anime and live-action audiences engaged simultaneously.
